Sell Your Trading Cards in Central Virginia

Have Pokémon or Magic: The Gathering cards you’re ready to sell? Whether you inherited a collection, rediscovered old boxes, or simply want the space back, send me some basic information and representative photos.

I’ll personally review what you have and let you know whether it may be a good fit for Fates Collectibles.

Tell Me About Your Trading Card Collection

Share some basic information and upload a few representative photos of the collection, boxes, binders, or cards. You do not need to sort everything, identify every card, or create a complete inventory.

I’ll review what you send and contact you within 1–2 business days about the next step.

What Trading Card Collections Do I Buy?

I’m primarily interested in Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering collections of many sizes and ages. I review every collection based on what it contains, its condition, and whether it makes sense for Fates Collectibles to purchase it.  We also consider One Piece, Sorcery, Flesh & Blood, Riftbound, and more.

Inherited and Stored Collections

Cards that have been stored in closets, basements, attics, boxes, or binders for years. You do not need to know the sets, card names, or current values before contacting me.

Binders, Decks and Mixed Collections

Complete binders, deck boxes, loose cards, bulk cards, accessories, and collections containing a mixture of valuable cards and ordinary cards.

Older Cards and Complete Collections

Pokémon and Magic collections from older eras are especially interesting, but I also consider modern cards, sealed products, and complete collections that need a new home.

How Selling Your Trading Card Collection Works

Send Details and Photos

Tell me approximately what you have and upload a few representative photos. Photos of the overall collection, storage boxes, binders, and anything you believe may be valuable are helpful.

I Review the Collection

I’ll review the information and photos personally. If the collection appears to be a potential fit, I may ask for additional pictures or arrange a time to inspect it more closely.

We Arrange the Next Step

If I’m interested, I’ll explain the next step and discuss an offer or in-person review. There is no pressure and no obligation to accept an offer.

Questions People Usually Ask

Do I need to identify or price every card?

No. You do not need to scan thousands of cards, create a spreadsheet, or research everything individually. An approximate quantity, several representative photos, and any information you already know are enough to begin.

What trading cards do you buy?

I consider collections from most popular trading card games, including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, One Piece, Flesh and Blood, Riftbound, Digimon, Dragon Ball Super, and Star Wars: Unlimited. I buy singles, binders, decks, complete collections, bulk cards, and sealed products. Have something else? Send me some details and photos—I’m always willing to take a look.

Do you buy entire collections?

Yes. I prefer reviewing collections as a whole, including the ordinary cards alongside the potentially valuable ones. However, submitting a collection does not guarantee that I will purchase it.

Are old Pokémon or Magic cards valuable?

Some are, but age alone does not determine value. The specific card, printing, edition, condition, and current demand all matter. Send clear representative photos and I’ll let you know whether a closer review makes sense.

What photos should I send?

Start with photos showing the entire collection. Include open boxes, several representative binder pages, storage containers, sealed products, and any cards you believe may be valuable. You do not need to photograph every individual card.

Do you provide appraisals?

No. I evaluate collections that may be available for purchase by Fates Collectibles. I do not provide formal appraisals for insurance, estates, taxes, or authentication purposes.

Where do you buy trading card collections?

Fates Collectibles is based in Scottsville, Virginia. I primarily work with sellers in Scottsville, Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Fluvanna County, and surrounding areas of Central Virginia. Larger or especially interesting collections may justify traveling farther.

Meet Jason

Jason and Family of The Fates Comics

I’m Jason, the owner of Fates Collectibles, a family-run collectibles business based near Scottsville, Virginia.

I’ve bought, processed, cataloged, and sold thousands of Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards. I understand that reviewing a collection can feel overwhelming—especially when you have boxes of cards but don’t know exactly what they contain.

I’ll review the information myself, communicate clearly, and let you know whether the collection looks like a good fit and what the next step would be.

Use the form above to send some basic information and a few photos. I’ll respond within 1–2 business days.
